The BIG Courtyard Weed-Out CHALLENGE!
The BIG Courtyard Weed-Out CHALLENGE! Needs Volunteers (a whole lot of you!)
CALLING ALL FALCONS! As you know, our once-beautiful upper glassed courtyard is a jungle of weeds (we could lose kindergarteners in there.) Sure it’s busy, yet . . . when is it not? End of the school year is a great time for actions that say “We care” – to our teachers and staff, about their working environment; to our children, about their learning environment; to our neighbors, about their neighborhood; and to all of us, for the myriad contributions of time, effort, funds and goodwill that flow daily.**
WHAT: The BIG Courtyard Weed-Out CHALLENGE!
Challenge 1: 2800sqft weed-free within 3 hours
Challenge 2: 80 (!) Falcon volunteers (reduces the average pperson weeding area size to an easy piece of plywood)
WHEN: THIS Saturday, 6/16
TIME: 8am – 11am
WHERE: Entry from the playground side of school. Let's gather UP THE RAMP near the building doors (closest to Mss. Hitch/Ravenscroft Rooms)
BRING: Weeding hand tools & gloves (as many as you can share!)
So, are you in? You are sincerely needed! PLEASE, DO SIGN UP ASAP by texting/calling in your volunteer name(s) to Pamela Erickson @ (206) 849-0628
